Tap Room Renovation: Happy Groundhog's Day

Well, yesterday was a rainy day here in Evanston, IL, but we were all sunshine here at Sketchbook Brewing Co. After months wrangling with financing and permits, demolition began over the weekend.

The only thing we were sad to let go was the blackboard from the old place--which we'd all decorated for a private staff New Year's Eve party.

This is what our stripped down space looks like now. 

Over the next few months, we'll be sharing images and news about our new Tap Room, opening this spring at 821 Chicago Ave.  We are partnering with a score of local designers, carpenters, architects and reuse geniuses (that's a shout out to Evanston Rebuilding Warehouse), and we'll be teasing you with glimpses of the Tap Room to come.
