Code of Conduct

Spaces where beer flows should be welcoming environments that value difference. So say we all.

Sketchbook aligns enthusiastically with many colleagues and organizations trying to make the brewing industry more congenial to the widest wonderful spectrum of people, and we are holding ourselves accountable. Please contact our Principal Brewer directly with any concerns regarding behavior, discrimination or other ethical issues. Improvement is not a destination but a life-style choice. FYI, Sketchbook is allying with Brave Noise winter, 2022.

Workplace practices Sketchbook is proud of include:

  • Transparency: We conduct quarterly meetings with employees, sharing financials and corporate trends, aligning with Open Books values.

  • Health Insurance: We provide health insurance plans to all full-time employees.

  • Profit-Sharing: We began a modest profit-sharing program in 2021.

    1. Sketchbook Brewing and its employees are representatives of the independent craft brewing industry. To effectively advance that mission, SB, its employees, and representatives must set an example by acting with honesty and integrity, conducting themselves professionally, and embracing everyone.

    2. Sketchbook Brewing accordingly requires that all employees and representatives conduct themselves in accordance with this Code of Conduct. Failure to adhere to this Code may result in suspension or removal from the company or other disciplinary action.

When this Code discusses obligations of employees and representatives, it also imposes those obligations on the individual officers, directors, partners, employees, and other representatives of the company. This Code also applies to the conduct of individuals not employed, but representing the interests of the company.

    2. In consuming alcohol beverages, employees and representatives must adhere to principles of responsible consumption.

    3. Employees and representatives must protect the image of both Sketchbook Brewing and the brewing industry generally by taking steps to ensure no employee or representative, including themselves, will break any laws in the process of purchase, sharing or consuming of alcoholic beverages.

    4. Should employees or representatives consume more than a reasonable amount of alcohol and either are or appear to be incapable of functioning, either legally or appropriately, Sketchbook Brewing accepts our duty-to-act to keep those impaired members from breaking any laws and from harming themselves or others.
